Conspicuous Puts Your Organic and AI Search Visibility in One Place

#SEO#AI

If you run a solid SEO program, you now have a standard, simple way to report your progress to your boss or board. I built a dashboard called Conspicuous that puts your organic search and AI search data in one place, and it is available today for my consulting clients.

Most companies running an SEO program do not need Ahrefs or Semrush

Over ten years of doing SEO consulting, almost every client has asked me which SEO software they should buy. I have never run into a client who needed even a tenth of the functionality inside Ahrefs or Semrush. Those are excellent tools if you run a large in-house SEO team doing mass keyword research. If you hired a consultant to run your program, the consultant already pays for those tools. You only need the readout.

Your marketing team cannot ship a hundred recommendations a month

The same thing happens with AI search tools like Profound or Peec. A marketing team of two buys a subscription and gets a long list of recommendations. Nobody has the operational capacity to act on the output, so you pay for software that generates a backlog of tasks you will never do.

Organic search and AI search live in different tabs and use different units

There is no single tool that provides an executive-ready readout combining your traditional search and AI search visibility. Rank trackers, Search Console, and AI visibility monitors all live in separate places. They measure success in different ways. Someone on your team has to log into three different platforms every month and paste the numbers into a slide deck.

Conspicuous gives you the numbers you need, and nothing you don’t

Every client gets a private dashboard at beconspicuous.ai. The data refreshes automatically every week. There is no password. You sign in with a one-time code emailed to you, and nothing is visible without signing in.

Search data comes straight from your Google Search Console. It leads with your non-branded traffic because that is the number your SEO program actually moves.

AI search data covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode. For a tracked set of questions your buyers ask, you see whether your brand is named in the answer and whether your pages are linked as a source. The dashboard compares your brand against your competitors as a share of voice. It also shows which sources the AI answers cite and the real category questions where an AI answer already names you.

The Overview tab shows you four numbers: organic traffic, non-branded traffic, keywords in the top 10, and AI share of voice. Each shows a 90-day and year-over-year change. You also get a traffic-by-intent chart and a table of the biggest moving pages and keywords.

The tool handles the weekly and monthly reporting for you:

  • Weekly action items: Every Monday, Conspicuous drafts the three highest-value fixes for the week. Each item is ranked, shippable within the week, and includes the data point behind it along with links to the pages involved. At least one task is an off-page item to earn third-party coverage. I mark each one done or backlog it with a note, and open items carry into the next week.
  • Monthly recap: On the first of the month, the tool drafts a four-part written recap covering your headline numbers, rankings, AI visibility, and next month’s plan. I review and edit the recap before you see it. It prints to a PDF, and every past recap sits in an archive.

Deeper tabs exist for traffic and rankings, keywords in striking distance, lost positions, new referring domains, and site health. These are hidden by default. I turn them on per client only if you want them.

This tool is not for agencies or teams that manage their own tracking

Conspicuous is not for agencies, teams that do keyword research at scale, or anyone who wants to configure a tool themselves. I set up your tracked questions, competitors, key pages, and branded terms based on your onboarding document. You do not set anything up. If you do not already have an SEO program running, this tool will not help you.

Conspicuous will soon track your search revenue and more AI engines

The dashboard is intentionally simple, but two additions are coming soon. The first is conversions and revenue from organic and AI search, shown right next to your traffic numbers. The second is tracking for more AI answer engines beyond the four we currently monitor.
